We never understood the concept that one room could be designed for every guest – which seems like a compromise. We have several different types of rooms to personalize your experience. The hotel was originally an apartment hotel, so rooms are larger than the typical hotel room. Each room includes amenities designed to allow guests to escape while at the beach. They all include refrigerators with complimentary bottled water, microwaves with popcorn, VCR’s with a complimentary movie library, large screen TV’s with 1200 channels, the largest bathrobes and towels we could find, incredible beds with 300 thread count sheets, hair dryers, clock radios and lots of other extras.
Ocean Front Suites
 For those who can’t get enough of the ocean. These suites feature a large deck, chaise lounge, living area, queen bed and some rooms have an additional day bed. Here you can leave your windows open at night and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
Spa Rooms
 These are the ultimate romantic getaway. Here you will find a fun, exotic theme room that includes Jacuzzi for two, fireplace and lots of extra special surprises – like Bose CD players, throws, cabana beds. All are designed with a romantic weekend in mind.
Courtyards
 These rooms are designed for families – casual, yet elegant. You will enjoy the spacious rooms which include a small breakfast kitchen that are ideal for family getaways.
Courtyard Deluxe
They don’t have kitchens, but if you love the décor of the lobby, you will love these completely remodeled rooms. They are a combination of the amenities of our courtyards and our more deluxe rooms decorated in a fun Mexican style.
Family Suite
 Our one bedroom apartments are perfect for larger families or longer stays. Most include a full kitchen. A seperate bedroom is available for mom and dad. Two TVs and two VCRs are also key features. Bedding usually is a queen bed in a private bedroom and two sofa beds in the living room. These large rooms sleep six.
Owner’s Suite
 It has been said that this is the most romantic room on the coast. Here we have combined the best features of the oceanfront room and the spa room. It boasts a larger Jacuzzi with an ocean view fireplace, surround sound and lots more. This is the most requested room we have.
Sun Deck
 Our roof top deck is “Avila’s living room.” This IS the best view on the entire coast! It has three separate living areas with day beds, hammocks, wet bars, refrigerators, microwaves, TV’s and VCR’. Imagine watching movies under the stars. We have 2 gas grills, picnic tables, blenders and an ice machine. This area is ONLY for guests. Sorry, no private parties.
Library
Great books, magazine, fossils, art and an extensive complimentary movie selection as well.
Lobby
 You will find that our lobby doubles as an art gallery with folk art, pots, treasure boxes, shirts, and logo items. Occasionally we host shows by local artists.
Family Room
Our great room is a combination media room with Bose surround sound and a dining area. Guests love to have elegant dinners, casual pizza or card parties here.
